Primary Care Ultrasound Services.  NOUS.  Ultrasound Commissioning

Community based Ultrasound Programmes... A SUCCESS STORY!

Ultrasound Now Ltd was one of the first companies to offer a mobile ultrasound imaging services (NOUS service) to the primary care sector in the United Kingdom. We have a proven track record, and for over 15 years have provided first class diagnostic ultrasound programmes for Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in England and Local Health Boards (LHBs) in Wales.

We estimate that the total number of scans performed in that time to be in excess of 100,000 with numbers increasing year on year.

Working together with the Commissioners and referring GPs we are committed to providing professional, community based services throughout England and Wales and welcome new enquiries.

The main benefits to you and your patients are:

  • Mobile Ultrasound Clinics at your chosen locations thereby embracing the 'care closer to home' ethos.
  • A bespoke service. Every contract is different and we work with our customers to make sure that the service fits the need.
  • Central appointment making – we do all the work.
  • All sonographers are HPC registered and fully qualified.
  • Radiology support for clinically serious/urgent findings audit and Governance.

Our ultrasound imaging service compliments the existing local hospital and clinic provision, giving patients and doctors much greater choice.

Bringing Ultrasound to the Heart of the Community

The shape and requirements of Primary Care Groups and Trusts has changed dramatically over the last ten years and this is likely to continue in the future. The need to provide additional professional services to meet the clinical demands of primary care is of paramount importance.

Using modern ultrasound imaging equipment and fully qualified, HPC registered staff with Consultant Radiologist back up we provide a mobile ultrasound service within a primary care setting. Ultrasound clinics can be held in GP's surgeries, heath centres, clincs and cottage hospitals to bring diagnostic ultrasound to the primary care arena.

All enquiries are dealt with individually and the cost is determined by numbers of scans and sessions required as well as the case mix.  Please contact either Julie or Antony on 01745 582002 for more information.
