A Personal Note from our Director

Welcome to our Web Site, I hope that you find it interesting and informative.

20 years ago I qualified as a radiographer at Tameside Hospital and worked within the National Health Service (NHS) for many years, qualifying as a sonographer in 1991. I have a passion for ultrasound imaging and have always believed that as technology improves, its use as a non invasive medical tool must only increase.

With modern mobile equipment, I also feel strongly that it can be provided outside of the hospital environment. It was that passion that drove me in 1996 to purchase my first ultrasound machine and pound the streets knocking on the doors of forward thinking GPs who were looking for ways of improving patient care within their practices.

A positive response was all I needed to set up a small pilot scheme in North Wales, three months later we were up and running.

Since those humble beginnings, Ultrasound Now Ltd has carried out many thousands of scans through our Primary Care Ultrasound contracts and has also opened two clinics for private patients.

I believe that our services are hugely beneficial to patients and that we have a positive role to play within the NHS and private sector. It is a fact that the NHS has had to change the ways that it delivers to the public and Ultrasound Now Ltd will continue to provide a complimentary service that is patient and referrer driven.
